The DIG has also given the reasons for the incident. A stampede broke out in Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela due to increase in crowd before bathing on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya.On a press conference Officials of Mahakumbh Mela DIG Vaibhav Krishna, justified the reasons of stampede in Mahakumbh, officials said that 30 pilgrims died on the way to Mahakumbh Stampede. And 60 people are injured and have been taken to hospital. People injured during the stampede were admitted to different hospitals of the city. Following the orders of the telecome regulator TRAI, Jio and Airtel launched voice only plans. Such plans are visible on the websites of both the companies in which only calling and SMS benefits are given.This decision will provide great relief to those people including 2G users who did not need data but till now they had to pay the cost of data in recharge plan. There are still crores of people in the country who have 2G connectivity on their mobile. 


Last month TRAI Passes the order:


The Telecom Regulator had ordered all the telecom companies to introduce Wise Only recharge plans on December 23, 2024. For this, the companies were given 1 month's time. It was said in the order that the companies will have to have such plans along with their existing recharge plans. Which has only the benefits of voice calling and SMS


JIO LAUNCHES PLAN:


Jio has launched Rs 458 and Rs 1958 plan. The validity of Rs 458 plan is 84 days. You will get free unlimited calling and 1000 free SMS all over the country includes jio cinema and jio tv acces. Mobile data is not given in it.Same in Rs 1958 plan gives 365 days unlimited calling validity with 3600 free sms .

AIRTEL PLANS:

Like as jio airtel also launches voice only Airtel launched Rs509 and Rs 1999 plan.The validity Rs 509 plan is 84 days with 900 sms validity.While with Rs 1999 plan gives calling validity one year with 300 sms.
