The DIG has also given the reasons for the incident. A stampede broke out in Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela due to increase in crowd before bathing on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya.On a press conference Officials of Mahakumbh Mela DIG Vaibhav Krishna, justified the reasons of stampede in Mahakumbh, officials said that 30 pilgrims died on the way to Mahakumbh Stampede. And 60 people are injured and have been taken to hospital. People injured during the stampede were admitted to different hospitals of the city.
